I don’t get it. Why did Warner Bros. decide to put Animaniacs on DVD before Tiny Toons. I know myself and several others would be first on line to pick up the DVD. Sorry to nerd out, but can you really think of a better way to spend your Saturday morning than watching Baby Plucky say “Elelator go down the hoooooo’ole?”
Tiny Toons may well have been one of the best comedic cartoons of the era – next to DuckTales of course.
I found some of the Tiny Toons segments on Youtube. It seems everything you want you can find on Youtube. Doesn’t make sense that Youtube will get over 100,000 hits for any given Tiny Toons segment and Warner Bros. wouldn’t want to bring it to DVD and cash in on the obvious demand.
But hey, who knows what goes on behind the scenes with the powers that be? I’m still waiting for Muppet Babies to hit DVD, though I heard recently that copyright issues have prevented it from making it to DVD. If you remember Muppet Babies had several clips from popular movies intertwined in each episode. That’s a lot of royalties.
Check out this clip of Baby Plucky:
